About Cirello

Cirello is a spaced-repetition flashcard app. It schedules each review with FSRS-6, a memory-model scheduler whose parameters are refit to your own review history once you have at least 1,000 reviews (and at most once every 7 days), so cards come back shortly before you would forget them. You can type cards, paste a list of front::back pairs in bulk, attach images, or point a card at a book, website or image resource. Progress is counted by the week, not as a daily streak.

Where the product stands

• The beta is free, and no card is required. A subscription is planned later.
• Cirello is a web app at web.cirello.app. iOS and Android apps are planned, with no date yet.
• The interface is available in English and Ukrainian.
• Reviews can run in reverse, listening, quiz or mixed modes, with synthesized spoken audio for cards. There is also Drill for extra practice, exam plans, writing and speaking practice, pausing and per-deck review intensity.
• There are no cloze deletion cards yet, no uploading your own audio, and you organise your library into folders and decks yourself.
• A remote MCP server lets an AI assistant you choose work with your library, within permissions you approve. See Cirello MCP.

How we write the guides

The blog explains memory research and spaced repetition. Our editorial approach:

• Claims about research link to the original paper or to the official documentation, and we name the authors and year.
• Our own suggestions are labelled as suggestions, not as research findings.
• Statements about Cirello are checked against the shipped app.
• The comparison pages are dated and cite each tool's own public pages. We say plainly where Cirello is behind.
• We do not publish invented statistics, reviews or ratings.
